The Lionsberg Rules

The minimal Rule of life — Benedictine-spare, sufficient to begin again from anywhere.

Like the Rule of Benedict, like the Twelve Traditions of AA, like the Great Law of Peace — the Pattern needs a short, transmissible document that can fit on one page, be read aloud in one breath, and be remembered across generations.

The Lionsberg Rules are two.

The Meta Rule:

There is only ONE rule. Everything is ONE.

From this alone, all else can be spiritually discerned, energetically sensed, and logically derived in any Time or Space. It is the irreducible foundation. Strip everything else away and this remains.

The Operating Rule:

Do the Wise Right Thing at the Wise Right Time with the Wise Right People to Progressively Realize The Goal.

This is the daily compass. Every decision passes through four discernments:

  • The Wise Right Thing — what action is wise and right in this moment? Discerned through Spirit, sensing, and reason together.
  • The Wise Right Time — is now the right moment, or is there a Kairos waiting? Timing matters.
  • The Wise Right People — with whom is this work to be done? Resonance matters. The Circle matters.
  • Progressively Realize The Goal — is this action moving Throughput of The Goal forward? Or is it spinning wheels?

Together, the two Rules are sufficient. A Circle that has only these two Rules can still operate the Pattern. The Pattern Language, the Playbook, the Lexicon are all expansions and refinements; if all else were lost, these two Rules would be enough to begin again.

This is the compression-test of canonical content: does it survive being reduced to these two Rules and re-derived from them? If yes, it is part of the canonical Pattern. If no, it is not Pattern; it is opinion.
