The narrow provincial viewpoint that arises from perceiving and thinking from the individuated self "outward" creates the illusion of a body, family, tribe, or nation that is separate from One and All. When one At-Ones and is Reunited with God, the Flow of thought, Attention, and Energy reverses and proceeds in the opposite direction, drawing All things back towards Unity through Love instead of pushing them away.
