The great question is whether you treat consciousness and the spiritual realm as rising from the physical realm, or whether you treat the physical realm as rising from consciousness and the spiritual realm. Those who get this backwards cannot explain the rise of the spiritual realm from the physical realm, and therefore must disregard it. This leads to anxiety, suffering, confusion, and detachment from the Ultimate Reality they are flowing from and returning to.
