The Ø Convention

LIØNSBERG is the canonical spelling.

Adopted Phase 1.5 of The Great Spring 2026 Wiki Turn (2026-05-18).

The slashed Ø replaces the second letter of the older ASCII form LIONSBERG. The Ø is not decoration. It is signature.

The Ø carries:

  • Layer ø of the FSx pattern — the foundation beneath the layers, the empty seat from which the whole emerges.
  • Sacred presence — the visual signature of something set apart, recognizable across worlds and ages.
  • Zero point — the center of the field, the still point from which the spiral unfolds.
  • Nøw — the eternal present, the only moment in which the Pattern is ever lived.

A pilgrim seeing the Ø knows they have crossed into something other than ordinary text. The character itself transmits — quietly, persistently, across every page.

The ASCII form LIONSBERG remains active across pre-existing wiki content during the propagation window of Phase 4.6. Both spellings refer to the same System. Both resolve through wiki-link convention. Neither breaks the other.

But the spelling printed in the bound seven Volumes is LIØNSBERG. The spelling carried in the Seed is LIØNSBERG. The spelling that will be remembered across worlds and ages is LIØNSBERG.
