After all the words — after the Caves and the Light, the Quests and the Anti-Quest, the Hero's confession and the Way — there remains something so simple a child can hold it in her hands.
It is a Game.
Not a game of boards or screens. Not a game of winners and losers. Not a game anyone owns or controls.
The Great Game of LIONSBERG is the simplest thing in the world:
All of us, together, making every place we touch a little more like Heaven.
One move at a time.
One Circle at a time.
One Quest at a time.
One day at a time.
One moment at a time.
Until the whole Earth blossoms aNew.
That is the Game. Everything else in this book — every chapter, every philosophy, every cosmic vision — is commentary on this one sentence:
We are here to love and help one another, and All Creation, rise.
If a child understands this, she has understood the Game.
If a family lives this, they are playing the Game.
If a community embodies this, they are winning the Game.
If a civilization is built on this, it is Heaven On Earth.
The Game has always existed. It was played before this world was formed. It will be played long after it has faded into spacedust. It is the eternal Pattern by which beings everywhere — in every world, in every age — choose to help All things rise toward The Goal.
What follows is how to play.
